Q:
I have computer troubles,
what do I do?
A: Computer
issues/problems are common place. The most
important thing we recommend when having any
issues is to back up any important data. You
can burn files to a CD/DVD, use a remote
back up service or in some cases e-mail very
important files to a hosted e-mail service (gmail).
If you have lots of data -or- do not know
how to back up, we can help you do that.
Next, call us at 612-706-9881 or simply
bring your computer so we can diagnose the
problem before it grows!
Q:
What do I need to bring to
your office? (How does the process work?)
A:
If you have desktop computer (tower) simply
unplug all your cables at home and bring in
only the computer itself. (no monitor,
cables etc.) If you have a laptop computer,
simply bring in the laptop and Power cord.
If you have a lost or damaged laptop power
cord, we can still service your laptop with
our universal cords.
When you drop off your computer, you will
give us a brief description of the problem.
If you know you want it fixed, we will print
out an estimate for you. You are not
required to pay for service until service is
complete.
Your computer will then go into our FIFO
queue. (1st in, 1st out). If our technician
has any questions they will call you. If you
did a diagnostic our technicians will always
call before doing any repair work.
Once your computer is completed, we will
then contact you for pick up.
Q:
What do you charge to LOOK
at my computer?
A:
If you drop your
computer off at our office, we only charge a
flat $39 diagnostic fee. This includes
testing, and finding out what the problem
is. Techs 2 Go will NEVER fix a computer in
for a "diagnostic" without the permission of
the owner! Once diagnosed, we can then
discuss your options and possible costs. You
have the choice of repairing or picking up
your computer. The diagnostic fee will
always be waived if you choose to have your
computer repaired with us.

What are your rates?
A: At
Techs 2 Go we are very proud of our low
rates. We do not hide nor mislead our
customers. On the left side of this web
site, is a complete list of our services. If
you click on one, it will show you a brief
description and give you the pricing. Techs
2 Go is proud to offer most of our in-house
services as flat rates. This assures
are customers what they will be paying; and
not be shocked when the final bill comes in.
Q:
How soon can you fix my
computer?
A: Our average
turn around time is 1-3 business days.
Depending on how busy we are, and how many
techs on staff. Rush service is available
for only $49. Rush jobs usually can be done
same business day. If a part needs to
be ordered this may delay your service by
2-3 days.
Q:
Do I need an appointment?
A:
If you are dropping your computer off you
do not need an appointment. If you would
like on-site service (to your home or
business) please call us at 612-706-9881 to
schedule an appointment.
Q: Do you
guarantee your work?
A: We want you
to be 100% satisfied with Techs 2 Go. We
offer a 30 day guarantee on all work we do.
If the issue we fixed was not completely
fixed or comes back, bring your system in
within 30 days for a no-charge service.
Q: Can you
fix my computer at my place?
A: We have a
host of on-site services available. Our on
site services is available for a low rate of
$90.00 per hour. For more information on
site services please see our
service section.
With most service issues like Virus removal,
spyware, back up etc. it is highly recommend
to bring your computer in. While on site, we
have to charge you even if the technician is
just waiting for the computer to run
scanners etc. At our office, because of our
flat-rate pricing, this is not an issue.
Finally, some issues are BETTER on site. For
example if you have a home network or
setting up a WiFi connection. It is much
easier to set it up at your home instead of
hauling all your equipment to our office.
Q: Do you fix
laptop computers or printers?
A: We are at
the point now where we get in more laptops
then desktop computers! Laptops are
definitely popular! Because of this, Techs 2
Go has focused many resources on laptop
repair. Unlike most shops, we can fix most
laptop hardware issues (broken screens, DC
Jacks, hinges, etc.) right at our location.
We now even stock parts for many popular
laptops. Don't just trash it, we have fixed
laptops that are banged up, water damaged,
cracked screens & much more. We always tell
our customers: We LOVE laptops!
Q:
Will you fix my Apple
computer?
A:
Techs2Go is now
equipped to fix Apple computers. We do not
currently stock parts, but we do have
technicians available who are trained on
Apple computers. We can also help you
configure your apple products iPods, iphone
etc.
Q:
Can your recover lost files
or passwords?
A: We have
invested thousands of dollars in tools to
recover failing hard drives, corrupted
files, and lost passwords. We can retrieve a
computer's Internet history, lost pictures,
scrambled databases and more. Please see our

Q: What forms
of payment do you accept?
A: We accept
Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
Discover, Checks, and of course cash.
Q: Do you
provide phone or remote
support?
A: Due to the
nature of computers, we do not offer phone
support. Techs 2 Go is now proud to offer
Remote Support. With remote support, we
can connect to your computer over the
internet via a secure connection and take
control of it. With this technology we can
fix most software issues. We charge $79 per
hour for Remote Support.
